IRBManager Training for Board Members

Dear Board Members,

This is the announcement and training materials for Board members on how to use and navigate IRBManager. IRBManager is the NCI CIRB’s centralized, on-line IRB management software platform.  The NCI CIRB uses IRBManager to track all studies and study event submissions, as well as Board meetings and agendas.

IRBManager has been used for Expedited Reviews for more than a year.  It is now being extended to include the completion of the Reviewer Worksheets for Full Board meetings.  Adding the Reviewer Worksheets into IRBManager is the last step to fully integrate all CIRB processes into the system and will further increase efficiency, decrease cost, and streamline the review process.  Once this process goes live, ePanel will no longer be used.

Here is a link to the How to Setup Your Computer for a Board Meeting user guide, a Word document with step-by-step instructions on how to configure your computer screen for the Board Meeting. You are encouraged to use both of these documents as reference tools as you interact with IRBManager to conduct your first several study reviews.

Here is the narrated and animated Instructions on Accessing and Navigating IRBManager for Board Members presentation. It provides a more graphic illustration of how to navigate the user dashboard, agenda, and Reviewer Worksheets in IRBManager. This PowerPoint presentation may download automatically or prompt you to either open or download it. In either case, you may see a Security Warning regarding external pictures. Please disregard this warning and click the Cancel button.  Choosing another option may prevent the animation from running correctly.

If you have any questions about using IRBManager, please contact your CIRB Board Coordinator.
